The dataset shows the relative distribution of families, according to the family type and the prevailing material in the construction of houses, the dataset was produced in the year 2014 for the first time with this breakdown in the UAE. These proportions are measured every 5 years through surveys and the values are valid for 5 years until the year 2023. Method of calculation: Relative Distribution (percentage of households in the UAE). Definition: Construction material: Building material is material used for construction. Many naturally occurring substances, such as clay, rocks, sand, and wood, even twigs and leaves, have been used to construct buildings. Apart from naturally occurring materials, many man-made products are in use, some more and some less synthetic.
